Bob Jones
poses with his STOL CH 701 (on skis) and with "a few pike" (we count
77). He wrote us:
"The 701 is the best winter pike fishing machine. Where this plane will
land you have no other company, save for a snow machines and riders that
took two days to get there, or maybe a real good Cub driver that can
afford a helicopter to get back out. Thanks again for the super kit, and
awesome airplane. Chris Heintyz really knew what he was doing when
he designed this." |

Ice Fishing in Alaska
Bob Jones of Alaska sent us new photos from his ice fishing adventures.
At left, Bob poses with a 39-inch 15-pound
Pike
in front of his STOL CH 701 equipped with snow skis.
Bob claims: "As these photos show, the CH 701 is the
best piece of winter fishing equipment for
Alaska. The skis allow the plane to get into some real tiny ponds
in search for the pike"
Notice the special fly out winter engine cover [black]. It is made
of 1/4 inch Reflectix and has an R-value of approx. R6 , it keeps the
engine warm all day.
The post-hole digger / auger is to drill through the thick ice. |
