From Zenith.Aero:
Video Clip of Scott Ehni's custom Zenith CH701 airplane (that he
scratch-built from plans) powered by the lightweight Garrett JFS
100-13A Turboshaft engine, putting out at least 90 BHP at a prop
speed of 3,100 rpm, burning about 12 gph. The small APU will work on
almost any liquid that will burn. The best off-airport fuel choice
is a mix of diesel and unleaded regular gas as it burns a bit
cleaner.

Recreational Flyer
magazine, the official publication of the Recreational Aircraft
Association of Canada (RAAC), January - February 2010 issue: "Elevated"
(cover story, pages 22 - 29): "Chris Heintz saw the need for an
updated version [of the STOL CH 701], something with a larger cabin,
greater payload, and the ability to us an array of four stroke
engines. The CH 750 is the perfect plane for exploring and
camping off the beaten path..."

Michael Hoffman's STOL CH 701, powered by the 100-hp Rotax 912S
(Davenport, Florida)
Five years ago
I retired and had always wanted to build my own airplane. August of
this year I finally completed my project and have started flying off
my test time. Although I have only put 3 hours on it (I got called
out of retirement for a brief time) I am having the
most fun I have ever had in a long long time.
Thank you and everyone at Zenith for me for the outstand support you
have provided to me. The
701 is
a great airplane and easy to build.
PS. I guess I’ll have to start thinking about a 750 next.
