Zodiac XL
powered by Jabiru 3300 engine, built by Jeff and Peter Paris (New
York). First flight: October 1, 2005.
"The aircraft performed flawlessly and as advertised by Zenith
Aircraft Co. Since that first flight is has been very
difficult to wipe the smiles off the father and son building
team."
Manufacturing:
Cutting out nose-rib blanks on the 12-foot CNC router at the Zenith
Aircraft factory (Mexico, Missouri).
Cross-country
photos: In mid-December 2005, Paul Reinders ferried a ZODIAC
XL Light Sport Aircraft (LSA)
from California to Georgia, effectively crossing the
continent. "The area ahead of me encompassed some of the
most beautiful scenery anywhere in the world..."
"The
Zenith literature package is easily the most complete package I
have received from any light aviation company, and I’ve seen
many other good ones among the hundreds I have studied. Lots and
lots of information is presented with some lovely graphics. The
literature alone is impressive, but the volume of information will
keep you reading for hours. You can get a good idea of what you're
buying without ever leaving your chair."
