Project Schoolflight: Ontario High School Starts ZODIAC CH 601 Project

February, 1998:  Jean-Marc Filion, the head of technology at Ecole Secondaire Algonquin, sent us the following update on their project schoolflight:

We have started assembly of our Zodiac plane and the students are all very excited. This is a part of our Grade 12 transportation program. We have teamed up with Voyageur Airways here in North Bay and they are following our project closely with respect to quality control and documentation, in order to make sure that the plane can be certified.

Students at Ecole Secondaire Algonquin position the rear top wing skin to the ZODIAC CH 601 spar and wing ribs.

Assembly is going a little slower than predicted as the students are afraid of making any mistakes (as we are), so all details are triple checked. We are very much enjoying this project and hope to have the wings completed in another few weeks.
